Its funny what all the Brits negotiated for when they were "going to let the USA have the World's" every other year.

But -- there's no reason to dismiss the new when it just might be a better idea.

8) Zak I am not trolling ! Perhaps you could explain how the NSCA own the title ENGLISH SPORTING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP?
English Sporting arrived in the USA in The 70-80s I believe? It's been shot in the UK for 100 years or
more!
It's what it says on the tin, English Sporting! If you want a title call yours American Sporting Clays World Championship!

Cyril,

Nobody is questioning where English Sporting came from. I commented on who owns the rights to the term "World English." You might be surprised if you looked into it.

Maybe we should just keep it here in the US and call it the World Series of Sporting Clays.

Also, how can you have a true World Championship held either in the UK or Merica?
Because the two countries hold the overwhelming majority of participants. That's how.

That is a good reason for two countries to control a " World Championship" ?

The NSCA wants the Worlds in the US every other year is why they are not interested in the ICTSF. Call it what you want, but it is just a UK/US Championship.

Here I thought a world championship was defined by the fact that it's open to all nationalities, not by where it's held.......

I guess I was wrong.

So who's the real World English Sporting champ? Richard Faulds or Bobby Fowler?

Bobby Fowler is the world champion Nsca/Cpsa

Richard Faulds is ICTSF

Two different sanctioning bodies, I don't really see how this is a hard concept to grasp. Like NHRA/IHRA

A very well written post by Zak.
If as you say , that America owns the name 'World English Sporting' it only goes to show how once again the CPSA have displayed their World incompetence.
For the CPSA to be involved with all organisations is nothing more than milking a cash cow . But we all know what happens when we have too much milk . It goes sour .
That is the current taste in England with the CPSA.
For debate :- English sporting should be shot with a maximum shot load of 1oz (28grams ) highest score wins , no Super Finals at 9p.m. when most good Englishmen are in the Pub.

The ICTSF has several member nations and notably that number does not include the USA. The depth of talent in the USA is quite good as of late culminating in wins by Matarese (Wold English Sporting), Mein (World FITASC), Fowler (World English Sporting and Radulovich (World FITASC). I imagine CPSA shooters are reveling in the fact that TEAM USA is on a tear lately. Or would you rather just shoot with the Tahitians?

More importantly how many shooter representing Tahiti shot at the last ICTSF sporting shoot and even more importantly when is ICTSF sporting shoot being held in Tahiti.
