72 out of 100! I knew that I was shooting pretty well, but refused to look at the scorecard until the end of the round. I bested my old mark by 8 shots. Man it feels good to make some progress in my shooting. I shot my first SC's 8 months ago and put a 26. All that practicing I have been doing is actually paying off. I guess my next goal is to see if I can break 80.

Keep at it.I shot SC's for several years before I ever shot in the 70's, so you're on the move.

Do you shoot registered tournaments?

If not , join the NSCA and get started. You'll have FUN.

I have not shot any registered tournaments yet. I considered starting this spring, but I have a baby on the way and I am starting a new job. This may not be the right time b/c the amount of time that I am able to practice will be greatly decreased. I might wait until next spring and try my hand at the registered shoots. Everyone says that they are a great time, and I really am looking forward to the opportunity to see how my shooting stacks up to my peers.

That's cool. So you have between now and then to become
a real threat once you do start competing :D
