Thanks but I am not very hopeful. The thought of spending winter here in Pa is very distasteful.

I hope all your stuff makes it through. If you are here for winter maybe I'll make a trip down state and shoot with you.

We have nothing down there that can't be replaced. We are just glad that we are up here in PA and out of harm's way. Our club manager thinks our club will be totally destroyed. If so, I sure hope that they can rebuild.

I suspect most, if not all, of the clubs here in Florida will sustain severe - if not permanent - damage to their facilities.

Good luck with your winter place. It looks like Irma will now be tracking along the Gulf Coast. Be glad you are in PA now.

Fingers are crossed that there will be something left to go to this winter.

It's weird, I'm very slightly relieved that (at least for right now) Ft Lauderdale appears to not be directly in the path of destruction. But I don't take pleasure in the knowledge that other towns are going to get the sh*t kicked out of them.

We got a bit of a cursory report from one of the residents of our community who took a tour around the community and said that it looks as if we may have dodged a bullet. I sure hope so. I should find out for sure tomorrow or the next day. I may sleep a little better tonight.

Yep, power still on for now - worst is yet to come for me. Current eye path is moving more towards Orlando. County has lost power to lift stations so flushing and showering is iffy at the moment. Strongest parts should get to me about 6 hours from now - it's about 1045 PM Sunday

Good luck all with both weathering the storm and dealing with all of the aftermath! Hope both are relatively painless.

Good luck buddy, stay safe. Stuff is just stuff, and can be replaced.

Lots of rain, been dozens of tornado warnings, especially on the East coast where the bands are being drawn in from the ocean. With all the rain, the ground is saturated which makes the big trees fall over a lot easier which is the biggest hassle to keeping power on.

Latest report has Irma west of Lakeland and heading north, roughly up the middle between Tampa and Lakeland. No longer heading towards Orlando. rs.

Back to coming over my house RS!

Glad to see you're OK and online. How's the power outages in your area?

The TECO 'Outage Map' looks pretty good for my immediate area. It's a lot worse in Tampa from McDill heading north to Pasco and St Pete. Lakeland and Plant City seem to taking a big hit from high winds. rs.

As of 3:30 this morning, I still have 2 hours before the brunt gets to me, so I am not totally out of it yet and won't have calmer winds until almost noon.

If all goes well, the hell with the diet, there's going to be some adult beverage consumed.......
