Thanks

I like to just store (upload) them to the photo section of SGW. Have you tried that? Takes a little while to get used to but works great. You will basically have 2 SGW windows open while you are using photos.

You then copy the URL of the photo and past it in between the URL:URL you get from the insert photo
Button here.

I often use smith-Wessonforum.com and they have a neat feature that lets you directly load them off of your iPad or laptop.

What is needed to get the easy to use type of photo uploading that most modern forums use? Of the 10 or so forums I have been a member of, only 2 or 3 (including SGW) won't let you upload directly from your computer's picture files. Is it a $ issue? Fabarm is obviously generating add revenue.

I use picturetrail.com to host pictures of me and my family.

Please tell me you're wearing underwear or shorty shorts in that pic.

You can load directly from your computer files. You have to remember the file must not be larger than 2 MB. I agree that it is a pain when you first try to upload pictures but once you do it, it is much easier for future uploads.

I know this has been discussed a thousand times. I moved a picture to imgur and it was very easy. How do I get it into my post? I am usually pretty computer savvy but this is still a puzzle to me.

Brad - is that you on the left or right? I only say that because you are from CA evidently; and one is not supposed to make gender assignment assumptions these days.

Get the picture as large as you can. Right click on it and get it's address which usually ends in .jpg. Copy the address and then go to where you want to post it on this site. Click on Img at the top of your posting. When you click on Img, you will get Img][Img except there will be brackets at each end. They are not shown as they will be deleted once I post this. Past the address in the middle between the left and right brackets ] and [ Good luck. Also preview your post to make sure the picture appears

Yes. Yes,and yes. But if you are on other forums, be it guns, cars, radios, boats, fishing, or whatever, you know that on most forums you can just "browse" and pull any picture from your picture files. No need for a 3rd party image hosting service. Why can't SGW, who is plastered with a full-frame Fabarm add for as long as I've been here, afford modern picture hosting?

Test. Finally got it to work. Thanks for the help. Imgur is very easy. Hope you don't mind the random picture of my Blaser Bonsi Scroll. Looks better than some pictures!

If that helps you keep your dinner down, sure I'm wearing bikini briefs.
