I have a quick question for those who shoot tournaments at Quail Point or the larger NSCA shoots. Might be a dumb one, but it is based on shooting several larger shoots (Fiocchi, various state shoots, etc.) and having never shot nationals or regionals.

Will the European rotations have a puller/scorer at the stations or is it SYO? I would assume they would have people, but this has come back to bite me a few times.

I am traveling solo as a buddy backed out, and hope to shoot subs and another side event Wed. I have had such plans spoiled when traveling solo by low shooter turnout early in the week when no one is manning stations.

Oh, and a great call out for Quail Point. Sent out a nice email yesterday explaining the CA ammunition situation, noting they have their license and will have shells (Fiocchi, AA and Rem) and that non-residents can bring their ammo into the state (attached a letter stating such from the state). Since I am flying, I'll just buy but nice to know.

You can contact Dave at QP but I am 100% there will be trappers/scorers at all stations.

Thanks. I was trying to avoid pestering Dave during a busy time and a question that is more curiosity. I will fly down and not change my plans regardless. :-)

Yep, Quail Point always has scorers for the Euro-rotation side events at state or regional shoots. (I believe it is actually required by NSCA rules for state and higher shoots to have scorekeepers.) And like FITASC2 said, you will find plenty of folks to shoot with ;)

You'll have a great time at Quail Point. Well run, great targets and as stated above, Matt is a great guy & will do almost anything to make you happy. We love it there and will be there for regionals too, Hell, we even got to meet Mule Driver there last year at the CA state shoot and that alone made the trip well worth it.

I am really looking forward to it. Just saw the preview in Clay Sports and has me ready to go. QP has been on my list and I almost came down for a state shoot.

I've never had trouble meeting new friends at shoots - good people in this sport with few exceptions. I travel on my own more than I do with others as I travel for work and get airline miles to burn.

Hey, I resemble that comment!

Thanks, and it was great to meet you and your wife as well, Jeff. She had a great shoot, winning a couple of medals, one at the 5 Stand with us watching.

Let's plan to hook up somewhere along the way at this next shoot.

Thanks Mule, We'll definitely look for you when we get in. It's going to be a somewhat quick trip for us this time.

See you cats there. I'll be hanging out and lowering property values by my presence alone.
