Frankly criticism hurts our sport. Some clubs that had registered shoots, don't any more because of the complaining. Many shooters don't realize how much it takes running a club, or those that do coaching.

I think that depends on how any criticism is presented. We lost a great club near Orlando called TM Ranch; the owner got tired of the griping and took his ranch and went in another direction' A few other clubs I know have seriously cut back on registered shoots; there's just too much money in the charity/corporate/fundraisers without ANY of the headaches associated with a registered shoot.

I admire those who can make a good living from playing a game, but sometimes we are our own worst enemies.

I thought I would have to lock this for a while but it seems to have come back from the edge. Please don't take it that close again.
Thanks!

Thanks, some of you guys are gushing like a school girl over these guys. You realize sporting clays is just a game, right?

These guys and gals are pretty awesome! They have a sense of humor which is something I thought you'd appreciate of all people.

So be it, I don't think it's funny, posting something as a joke, etc, for someone to figure out......

I do not agree with your premise that simply because you are an excellent shot that also automatically makes you an excellent teacher instructor. If you cannot teach to your student's learning style, then both of you are wasting your time.

Just take a look at a bunch of University Profs. Top in their field, but lousy lecturers.

Who coaches Vincent Hancock, or Kim Rhode?

Doug. In both cases, their fathers. I had the pleasure of meeting them both on the Olympic circuit. IMO the best instructors are the ones that stay busy without aggressive advertising.

All this talk about coaching distracts us from the real way to reach the top - New gun, aftermarket chokes, custom vests, high or low rib (whichever you don’t have) and the perfect load (speed, amount and size of shot).

No practice or coaching...just buy more ;-)
