I've shot there. Great club and I had no trouble shooting there as a nonmember.

Member there. Shot there three out of the last four weeks. Pretty place. Usually have 13-16 stations, most with four traps each. Carts available usually, but walking is not too bad either. Although it’s not a public facility, public is welcome during open hours (posted on website). If you have specific questions, PM me and we can chat.

Define “close.” Elk Creek Hunt Club is about 1:15 north of Lexington. We’re members at both. Different. Neither better by our standards. Just depends on what you want.

Im a member at bluegrass as well. Mike has 14 to 16 stations with 3 or 4 traps on most of them. Plenty of carts, but is walkable. Youll have to check hours, you will need a target key from the office. We also shoot at Indian Creek in Georgetown, Indiana. Nice place. There is Jefferson Gun Club in Bullet County, no joke, open on weekends only, I think. Elk Creek is nice, too. Thursday nights at Bluegrass is a fun outing. We shoot, then eat Wuhan Bat Head Chilli dogs, and eve have a little bourbon to drink!

I've only shot there once when they held the KY State FITASC shoot a couple years ago. Nice place with great rolling hills. I snapped this pic.

Bluegrass Sportsman's Club has always been a really nice facility. Years ago they brought me in to redesign the first sporting clays course there. Loved the landscape of the place. Made many changes to what they had originally. Haven't been back there, so I don't know what additions they've made, but the people were great and they loved their shooting. At the time I went there, a number of the horse racing jockeys were shooting there. Little guys, but they loved to shoot.
