Does anyone here know if the receiver on the DT11's can be case colored? Not sure on what metal the receivers are made of.

Sorry, I can't help you with that. Please let me say that I wouldn't do it. My buddy shoots a DT11. The simple elegance of the relatively plain receiver is beautiful. I believe case coloring would degrade both the appearance and value of the gun. Just my $0.02. I hope you can accomplish whatever you decide you want.

DT11 has a steel receiver; so, one probably could but...
Would first have to strip the factory finish - don't know if it is nickel plate, silver nitride, or something else. I suspect that results of color case hardening would be unpredictable because of previous plating, and, I agree with rpp; why would you want to mess up a perfectly good DT11?

Call Doug Turnbull and ask him; if he is closed due to Covid, call Coles

Real case job requires heating and the chance of action part fit issues. Turnbulls reputation is very good, many others best avoided.

But Trurnbull would probably be the very best and will charge accordingly.
DL If you got real case hardening, and not case coloring, it's relatively certain Giacomo farmed out to Turnbull anyways.

Giacomo’s did my MX2000 for free when I ordered it several years ago. Perazzi didn’t offer it as an option on lower grades.

No. A DT-11 receiver is electroplated with something, not sure what, but it cannot be color case hardened over.

I'd take case colors over the awful blue swoop every day of the week.

For what it would cost to case color I would just get a lusso model
