As far as I can remember (2007) , it has a SuperFinal. Top 6 scores shoot off. I don't recall how many extra targets they shoot (25?).

The main event is shot over 200 targets and decides team and concurrent awards. The 6 highest scorers overall carry their score forward and shoot a Superfinal of an extra 25 targets to decide the overall individual championship. The format of the main event has varied. In the UK it is shot over 2 x 100 target courses over 2 day slots, either Tues & Weds, Thurs & Fri, Sat & Sun. Slots are reserved on the Sat & Sun for national teams, who shoot together in their squads (unlike FITASC that has random squadding). Squads are usually 6 person, and the last twice the CPSA have favoured a system where all squads start at intervals on stand one and go on through the course, rather than squads being started across the course in a series of rotations during the day. I believe last year at Northbrook the event was split into 3 courses , so competitors either shot Tues Weds & Thurs or Fri Sat & Sun.

Leigh
