I am getting into the 28ga trap shoots and want to start reloading. I sure need a shell catcher for the 28ga A400 Beretta. Anyone know of a source for such a device?

Not sure about 28 gauge, but here's a shell catcher designed for the A400...

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have found several shell catchers but none of them work for the 28 ga A400, or at least there is not enough information to determine differently without buying each one to try it. The T&S website says they do not make a shell catcher for the 28 ga a400. Matter of fact I found out all A400 shell catchers are not the same and are model dependent.

A bigger point is you can not shoot trap without one, regardless of whether you are reloading or not. The only two I found for my A400 (12 gauge) were the T&S and the Birchwood Casey.

The trap course I frequent has no such restriction.

Have you tried a rubber band? It will knock them down, so they don't hit the neighbor, but you still might have to pick them up, or dig them out of the receiver.

A rubber band is what I use now for lack of a better option.

I don't know how long the barrel extension is on the A400 but you may be able to have
a wire shell catcher installed or contact Tron space and see if he can weld a knock down
pin on the barrel extension. He is quite knowledgeable no Beretta autos.
