I want to buy a golf cart on Trap Forum and they won't let me because I haven't posted 50 posts.
Would someone who has let me know how to do this? Seems very unfair to the seller.

They have that policy to keep out the scammers. If you try to run up your count by posting one liners they will ban you. Read the Rules. Just start contributing and no more than 3-5 per day and spread them out over the day so your name doesn't come up 5 times in a row.

The same rules apply to sellers. How is that unfair?

Be thankful it's only 50. I'm a member of another site where it's 100.

Actually you are better off on this forum.

A lot more information here, and the members are friendlier!

Amen to that. They don't want any dissenting opinions or their moderator (I think he may be about 14 years old.) will ban you and then brag about it. People are much friendlier here.

Yes better info here. Very arbitrary process over there. If you're part of the accepted group of posters you'll be treated better than the occasional poster. The owner seems to take great pleasure in threatening and banning others.

Not to mention the fact, that all trapshooters are welcome here. You don't see posters here attempting to promote the mistaken idea that the only true trapshooters are the ata shooters!

Probably for asking an innocent question. At the rate things are going, who is gonna be left there?

This may seem naive, but are you guys referring to a separate website or another forum within SGW?

Pretty sure they're referring to trapshooters.com

I've never been a member there.

What did you get banned for, Jim, bad mouthing them over here?

They banned me for two months because after having my screen name as "ShotStop" for 5 years, almost 5,000 posts and almost 4500 "Thanks" they decided it was promoting the shot curtain fabric we make for clubs to keep them from getting shut down without paying a vendor fee. Now, one might think that rather than ban me and abbreviating ShotStop to "ShoSto", they would have sent me a PM and said pay the fee and be a vendor or we can change your name to something else. You have a couple of days to decide". That would have made perfect sense in that they would have either gained a new account or, at least kept an active and obviously well liked member of the forum. Instead no vendor fee and an unfairly treated long time contributor. Go figure.

I was not a member of the trap shooting clique. Anything I said was construed as argumentative and they couldn't keep up. They resorted to name-calling and I reciprocated. I got banned and the others didn't. You play their game and agree with everyone or you get ousted. It is hilarious. They are like children in a sandbox in their back yard. You are not welcome in unless you are one of them.

Glad I'm not the only one. Banned the first time because the moderator could apparently read my mind. Banned the 2nd time because I relayed my opinion about being banned the first time.
I guess they can do what they want since it is their forum, but I can tell you what happens in business when you get confrontational and provide poor customer service. You don't last long.
I am happy that I found this forum and so far, have seen nothing but good things on here. I can foresee this forum growing because of the variety of subject, and friendly atmosphere. Again, happy to be here.

I was just banned again. "This time for trolling the forum." Apparently responding to an attack is trolling. That place sure has gone to pot since the change of hands.

My suggestion would be to not click on any pages there. Every time you do, you give them more ad revenue.

If it's as bad as you say, and I have no reason to doubt you, It won't last very long.

If that is true then I sure won't.

Advertisers pay by membership numbers, and clicks.

If you can't delete your account, simply don't click.
