Where can I order online some 2 3/4" 15 gauge Hastings Sabot Slugs"? Nobody locally has any Sabot Slugs from any maker and the Hastings has been recommended to for use in my 12 gauge 20" 870 rifled slug barrel with variable Remington scope. Cheaperthandirt.com has them listed but unavailable.

Thanks,

I had already ordered 3 boxes Winchester locally, and then ordered 5 boxes from slugrus.com and was pleased to find that getting the Hastings with the shipping charge of $10 flat rate makes the Hastings a better price than locally with the state sales tax. I appreciate the help.

Follow up-I got an e-mail back from slugsrus thanking me for the order, but also got a notification copy saying that their e-mail to Sabot was undeliverable. Oh well, at least I know that I have 3 boxes of Winchester coming mid-week from a local store that called in the order and determined that they were available.

I'll never use this Hastings crap again. I purchased a second batch of 20ga for my USH after having shot 2.5" at 100 yards with the first batch. Guess what? Only managed one shot on paper out of three at 100 yards with the second batch!

No, its not my gun. I continued to shoot 1.5" groups with Lightfields(different lots) and I tried Remington Core-lokts for the first time, achieving .8" CTC.

Stay away from Hastings, POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!

Try here
http://www.lightfieldslugs.com/lightfield/

or do a search for Able Ammo.

Better yet, go to Dicks for $9.99/box.

Gymson,
You are very unclear about what happened with slugsrus.com.
Who is "their" and notice that the e-mail didn"t get to "Sabot"?
Also, another stated that Hastings has poor quality control? The news media is the same way, "some facts" but more binary screamers. What are the facts for saying that against any ammo company?

Just got a personal telephone call from Sabot Tech. Apparently there was an incorrect e-mail address that generated a "bounced e-mail copy" to me. Pam was very nice and assurred me that I would get my shells. Thanks Pam.

You are dealing with Pam and Richard Knoster, there at Sabot Tech.
Two of the nicest people in the business!

Hey Luthan, so I suppose you consider 2.5" groups from one box of Hastings and 1 out of 3 on paper from a second lot of Hastings Good Quality Control??

Sounds like crappy ammo to me!

I sent Hastings an email about this bad batch with a lot number but they still haven't responded. This ammo is crap and can't be trusted, those are the facts.

Be very, very careful, OIG and Hastings are listening and they don't like people bashing their inferior product.

Unless you have excess plastic ,etc. in the barrel, or you point it incorrectly, how can anyone shoot so poorly? With a rigid , hard plastic and the three blind man testers who check the production each day, unless the first sentence applies-it is physics-ly impossible to have the occurrances previously mentioned-some complain when others are selling some rounds for sale prices because...

Scott, thanks for the heads up on Hastings inferior product. Luthan's mother must be Mrs. Hastings.

J.Mol,
I'm using common sense, you're definitely not.

Then explain to me why Lightfields continue to shoot 1.5" groups with two lots(3 boxes of each) tried so far. Tried one box of Core-lokts achieving .8"CTC. Tried Hornady's twice, achieving 5" groups. At least the Hornady's were consistent.

Hey, I know my USH doesn't like everything but I should expect to see consistent results from any ammo I purchase. Never had this experience with any of my weatherby magnums, 06's, 243's and every other rifle and pistol I own.

J.Mol,
Does my mother know you're doing this? Why don't you e-mail Slugsrus.com with the Lot number? With all those who use Hastings in slug shooting competitions, no one has complained yet from the reports I've heard from them. Many are winning the competitions.

Acutally, I sent an email to Hastings with the lot number. The batch may have become defective during shipment, who knows. 1 in 3 on paper at 100 yrds is beyond belief. I will be carrying core-lokts for my second trip to Ohio this weekend.

I purchased the defective batch from Midsouth, they are cheaper on delivery. I forgot to add that one round from this batch actually was a dud. Hey, it may not be their fault but I can't have faith in something that can't perform with consistentcy.
