Bought a Savage off of Auctions Arms, for my Savage 745. I thought all Savage barrels were interchangeable....well oops this one isn't.

The barrel on my Savage has a one ear ejector, while the one on the other Savage barrel has 2 like a Browning....

It IS marked Savage, but it sure won't fit. Must be for a later model?? Anybody have any ideas??

The 745's were done by about 1949, and this is when my dad got this one.

I am posting this on both the Browning forum, and the Remington forum, as the Model 11 and this one (Savage 745) are SUPPOSED to interchange.....

Oh well, anybody need a two eared ejector Savage barrel??

If at first you don't succeed, try something drastic....if then you don't succeed get a bigger hammer......
