I took a closer look at the serial number of my odd " Light 16 " frosted steel recivier and all Lightning cuts in recivier and barrel , there is a G Stamped follow by FN what will " G " stand for ?
G FN
21547 (69)

The letters in the serial numbers for the superlight series are a mystery.

Does the magnet stick to your frosted reciever with the same strength as your steel reciever?

Yes it does, and weight is same as my -64 Sweet , my A5 friend in Norway have the same treatment of recivier , his barrel is plain but is 74cm long so weight of our gun is the same
Approx 3,25- 3,30kilo. I love the gun especially after i open the barrel to light mod .
I feel i can beat it in a way i dont want with my sweet , i also like the feeling of the flat knob pistol grip.

Hello Guys, Thought I would offer my 47 3-shot up for sale but I would need a $1000.00. I have not listed it anywhere yet, Thought I would mention it to you guys first. Anybody interested? For those of you that don't know its story, its starts on about page 8 of this thread. My introduction to this site and my 39s story are a few pages earlier than that, Good stuff. Thanks!

To unlock your "private messages" face the west, turn your head to the north, lift your right leg. Then scan the area above the pm messages and an orange message will mysteriously appear. Click it and your locked messages will appear.

The meeting with Angelo Bee went very well. Cooler heads prevailed. No Midas, Diana or gold birds. He persuaded me to go with his light scroll work with flushing Pheasants on one side and his grouse scene on the other.

Angelo Bee called. My Superposed two barrel set 16/12, 16ga Super Sixteen is done. I should have it next week.

I mentioned the "Flushing Pheasants" but he sounded confused. He said "yes, pheasants in Grade V."

I will be pleased with whatever he did. Its Angelo Bee.

I remember him doing his best to get me to drop the flushing pheasants for a classic Browning pattern. He was coming from a Browning loyalist perspective. Someone suggested it may be a licensing issue. He said "you will not be able to sell the flushing pheasants." He told me I would be spending money to depreciate the gun. I told him it did not matter. I thought we had an agreement.

When he called, I asked him about one side flushing pheasants and the other side flushing grouse? He said "No." He finally said "yes" pheasants and quail in grade v.

If I get my flushing pheasants, I will be tingly. If I get a classic Grade V double signed by Angelo Bee I will just be tickled. Tingly or tickled I am thrilled about the two visits in his office and studio and to own a custom Angelo Bee.

The 16ga/12ga Superposed is now a Grade V and I am tickled. Next stop is Art's for fresh blue and Grade V wood.

Interesting post. I acquired a 16ga A5 some time ago, and have wondered about its date of manufacture. The S/N is 1262XX, so it seems to fall into that kind of war-time zone or just after WWII?
