Was planning to drive from Florida to shoot the North East Regional at the Hopkins Game Farm in Kennedyville, Maryland (8/20-8/23/2020). However, after reading the MD July 29, 2020 Out of State travel Advisory I do not see how anyone of the current 35 restricted states could attend the shoot! In addition: The MD Governors, just issued, executive order states: "Public and private social gatherings of more than 50 are prohibited". It appears the shoot is still on with over 400 signed-up! I won't be there and COVID sucks! https://phpa.health.maryland.gov/Documents/07.29.2020%20-%20MDH%20Notice%20-%20Out%20of%20State%20Travel%20Advisory.pdf

The link is a recommendation, not a law or executive order. It is advisory in nature. Do what suits you best. The limit in the executive order doesn't impact outdoor gatherings that are socially distanced.

There just happen to be lots of small gatherings on different parts of the complex. I wish that the govt. would quit this heavy handed BS and just advise people to be aware of the potential risk and make the decision for themselves.

Liability is a possible issue. Use the same standards that apply to Public golf clubs, and you should be ok.

If it was just a matter of you making the wrong decision and contracting the C-flu, that would be fine. But it's not just a matter of YOU. The problem is when you make the wrong decision, contract the flu, then infect others during the 7-14 days when you are pre-symptomatic.

So, when one was pre-symptomatic, they also didn’t interact with others?
Don’t want to go stay home, but that is no guarantee you will not find yourself a pre-symptomatic.
Precautions are fine at Walmart, again the choice is yours, but not at a shoot. Common sense loses again.
Situations such as this make one wonder just who is this YOU that it is all about. Is it me or is it you?

Are you suggesting there should be no precautions at a shoot?

Not at all, just the opposite. People are flooding Wallmart, Lowell’s, garden centers, etc with precautions. Some wearing masks, some not. Some decide to go there, some don’t. Northeast regional is no different with suggested precautions. As of now there are 363 signed on for the NE Regional main. Outside obviously. Throughout the day, Wallmart will exceed those numbers xxxx inside. Common sense. Walmart is fine with precautions yet some think this isn’t???? https://frenchnick.com/2020/08/07/augus ... 1-3-video/

A State can not legally refuse US Citizens the right to travel across State lines. Thus only recommendations and encouragement.... Hell the border is essentially wide open from Mexico, what are they going to do if a legal citizen travels across the country... Common sense again....
