I am just throwing this thread out there maybe I'll get some replies maybe nobody cares but hey;
What is the best made most comfortable Rifle/Shotgun sling available? Looks are a factor but comfort is at the top.

:idea: :idea:

I can't say its the best but I have been using black silent

webbed military style used on M16 and AR15 in 1 1/4 inch width

and they last forever plus they are cheap to purchase.GL

Rubber type of sling, offered on The Outdoor Channel. Got the first one, and ordered one for all my brothers and my father. Best sling for toting a rifle or shotgun I have ever used, will not slip off your shoulder, makes carrying my 10 gauge a dream, springy enough to not wear you out, yet you can get a good tight sling for shooting.

For me its the Browning X-cellerator sling, adjusts from very long to stretched tight between the studs for easy casing of my shotguns in soft cases. You don't have to wad the sling up and stuff it in the case after the gun has been inserted. Easy to lengthen enough to carry gun diagonally across the back (sling goes across the chest like a shoulder type seat belt), for totally hands free carry.

Best regards,
Jeff

I like and use military type slings, but for general hunting use, the Brownells Quick-Set Latigo Sling is hard to beat:

The "claw" made by Quake industries. I use it on all my rifles and slug gun. IT stays put on your shoulder and doesn't slip. I wouldn't use anything else.

How's that, not a single repeat so far! Doesn't look like your going to get a consensus from this crowd.
