I am trying to find someone who may know something about this shotgun. I know it is a single barrell & a 12 Gauge. I have searched everywhere I can think of and came up empty with any information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Methinks you have a cheap version of the Stevens 94. Springfield was produced by Savage, the maker of Stevens and Springfield. A lot of Stevens guns were named Springfield and made with cheaper wood and the model number was slightly different. The 94 became a 944.

Your gun in excellent condition would be worth around $75.00.

Savage/Stevens made a Model 94 Stevens and a Model 94 Springfield, both were the same gun.. The Springfield Model 944 is an entirely different gun and is the same as Sears 98,J C Penny 6647, Western Auto 356Y, and Cotter & Co 949Y.. This model utilizes the side lever breakdown and is entirely different from the Stevens Model 94 with the conventional top lever breakdown.. The above poster has the value about right.. Bushrod

Thanks for the info. It helps me tremendously. Is It a rare gun or can you find them easily, like at a gun and knife show? Again thank you for the help. I don"t know that much about guns but I do like to collect them from time to time especially when it might be a hard to find gun.

You have what I would call a good utility gun. It is not a collector's item.
