Was thinking about buying this odd shotgun, first ever straight pull bolt action shotgun ive ever saw.
125$ is the asking price, gun is in really nice shape, has tenite stock,no cracks, 28" barrel i believe any goods or bads about these guns???

I agree on the odd part. The cross bolt is pulled out and back to open...pushed forward and in to close. The opening stroke of the bolt ejects the shell. It looks a little like a semi-auto but is a bolt-action repeater. Stevens made these (I think) from about 1950 to 1956. $125 is a fair price if it is in good condition.

yep , odd for sure, i thought it was a semi auto when i first saw it, but something tells me that with the light weight of the gun, recoil may be a issue with heavy field loads, any of the guys on here have experience using one of these???
it is a 12 gauge

Anyone else on here have one or atleast used one for hunting or any kind of shooting?

The M124 was made from 1947 until 1952. Really a pretty rare gun. I once bought one that was NIB for $100 and traded it to a Stevens collector for a 85% Winchester M12 20ga field. I never shot mine.
