16 gr with standard primer, 15.5 with super hot primer is a load I have used for almost 20 years.

Loaded it (WSF) ever since 473 was discontinued. I have found that 16.0 grns, ww wad, aa primer or equivalent and 7/8 a good load. Will go to 16.5 when using WJ wad. However, I have found this load to be a bit of overkill in skeet and use the lite load as developed by Case using Unique and 3/4 or 11/16 small shot with rem wad and 209 primer.

try this recipe page 232 of Lyman #4

15.5 WSF
win 209 primer
one RXP 20 wad Remington.
7/8 ounce shot
speed 1187
pressure 8,800.

This is a little faster.
16 . 0 WSF
Win 209 primer
One winchesterWAA20
7/8 ounce shot
Speed 1209
pressure 9,900

I shoot these on trap for years and they really nice loads.

Actually, this load IS overkill for skeet. It will smoke them big time from the outer stations. With 7 1/2's and tight chokes it will do a great job on ATA Dubs and Bunker.

Can the PC20 or Claybuster equiv be used with this load?

I use to use a great Wsf load
20 gauge rem or old aa
orange dusters
win or fio primers
Mec 16 bushing on a sizemaster
#8 shot
Knocked the He** out of them, smoke city
Quit using them, barrels a hair dirty, cut back on pressure with univ on the tube set. also, one less powder to keep/buy while combo it with the 28 old style.

On the clone wads question, I don't really know. I use the recipes as printed and have never tried a clone. I would check with Lyman's and ask them. 1-800-22 Lyman is the phone number in the book.

Claybuster will work fine as well as the DRV-20 which may be the same as the PC 20
