Does anyone know if a remington M 11 barrel can be used in a Savage M 720? I know they are both A5 clones but am unsure whether barrels are interchangeable.

Thanks

Bill

M11 and A5 parts DO NOT interchange, I'm not sure about Savage but I doubt they will either.

I have had a few of both models, and always interchanged the barrels.

I had a friend many years ago in the Army in Germany who had a "b@$t@rd" shotgun. The reciever was indeed a Savage, but he rest of the gun was an amalgum of Browning, and Remington parts. Some parts did interchange, and some evidently do not. I think his barrel was a Browning barrel, :? but that's been something like 35 years ago too!

BC13,

Check out this site under BARRELS. Click on 12ga. REM 11. This is the only site I've seen that has some info on barrels that interchange. These folks are super nice to deal with. I bought their last Winchester Super-X, Model-1, Imp. Cyl. barrel a while back. So now the SX-1 barrel category is Out-Of-Stock.
