Is this gun worth as much as they are asking for it? If not, what is it worth. I am interested in it, but not at this price. I thought I saw one at a gun show several years ago for under $1000. I googled the price and it said it was worth $2850. Need some help.

I have seen some pretty silly things on Gunbroker, but that takes the cake.

The idiot that is trying to sell it doesn't even describe it. You can tell from the picture that it is a slug gun, but the seller doesn't say so.

The Blue Book doesn't list a 302 slug gun. The basic 302 is worth about $400-500. My local gun shop has one priced at $500.

Where did you google up a value of $2850 for the slug gun?

I have sent the seller some questions. There is no way I would pay that for it, but I wanted to get an idea. I got the price from http://au.answers.yahoo.com/answers2/fr ... 128AA6jgdA

Do you know where I could get a new one? I haven't been able to find one anywhere on the net or locally.

The 302 in that question was a Super Lusso which has extra fancy engraving, gold trigger, safety, and other pieces, and high-grade wood.

Not literally new, because they haven't been made in 20 years. Guns that old do show up in NIB condition now and then, but it would be hard to find one. Used ones are not real rare. Like I said, my local shop has one on the rack for somewhere around $500, but it is a trap gun with a Monte Carlo stock.

Just out of curiosity, why are you particularly looking for a 302, as opposed to a 301 or 303? I ask because I am interested in the features of the different models in the 300 series. I am doing research for a paper on the history of the series.

Every Beretta 300-303 I have seen has been a beautiful steel blue with nice walnut stock. The finish on their stocks doesn't do anything for me - I like oil finish - but they are nice looking guns. I have a A-302 that is really nice....had George Trulock make up a set of chokes for me.

This thing is just FUGLY!!!!!!!!!!!

And, I have no idea when he came up with that price.........of course, he could just be fishing for that one sucker out there who doesn't know any better!!!
