Sure.
Foster and Brenneke type only of course.
Shooting slugs won't wear out your gun any faster than shotshells.
It will leave lead deposites though and you will have to brass brush it clean.
We all do that with foster slugs.

A "rifled slug" is a foster slug with rifling molded into the sides. Just don't want you looking for a box labled "foster slugs" when most of them are labled "rifled slugs".

I’m sure the gun will handle it better than your shoulder.

Thank you for all the replies. I just thought it better to ask than to ruin a gun.

Here's a good idea for you Shootercochran...Send the Pardner receiver, forend and buttstock back to H&R and have them install a dedicated slug barrel so you can switch back and forth. They might still have some Tracker I barrels laying around with rifle sites. If not, you can opt for a Tracker II barrel that is fully rifled it you want to go that route. Or...and this one if my favorite choice...You can opt for the 20GA Ultra Slugger barrel...

Oh yah..The Tracker I barrel is a smooth bore slug barrel to facilitate the use of rifled slugs...And, the Ultra Slugger barrel does not come with sites, you have to mount a scope on the provided scope rail.

Shooter,

For what it worth, as far as I can remember, the first deer I took with a slug gun I took using a borrowed 12ga Pardner. I walked right up on that doe, in a fresh morning snow. She was bedded under some cedar and she never even knew I was there. I took her with one shot in the back of her head from 10 yards while she was still bedded.

Moral of the story, in the best of hunts, you will never have to shoot past 20yds with a slug gun. Anything form the Pardner on up is plenty to do the job if you as hunter have already done yours.

NOt for the gore or morbidity, but I'd love to see pick of just what that did, damagewise.

Well, here is a picture of one shot twice in the head with 410 slugs. First shot at 60 yards and last one at point blank range (her feet were still twitching slightly when we walked up to her laying where she fell):

New, hunter first time out under my supervision, she did a triple tap on it. Walked up and the tips of its legs were still twiching (nerve damage -- head shot). Booom !!!! Fourth shot at point blank. She just had to be sure it was dead.
