I'm assuming you want something with a tube set if your intention is skeet... You will be able to find some used Brownings and Beretta's at that price. 3200's with Purbaugh tube sets will be plentiful at that price, but be aware that parts can be a bit hard to source.

If you are @ $2500.00 before tubes, I have to echo drsfmd’s choices, Browning, Beretta’s on the New guns.

For the used, start searching all you local gun stores and pawn shops, you might find a hidden treasure, I’ve seen some 3200’s Rottweill’s and Perazzi with that range of used non-tubed .

Best of luck on your quest, let us know what you get

Browning XS Skeet and SKB Skeet. For less than $2500, those are only two guns I'd consider, unless you can find a Guerini Sporting for that price.

A used Beretta 680/682 is the only choice.

I agree a good used 682 is a great gun. Might even be able to find one with tubes for that price.

Good Luck

Al

Kevin Monteleone's, Sam Armstrong's and Scott Bender's.

It's the indian not the bow or arrow.

Perazzi MX2000/8 29.5" Combo would be my choice if I had a big ol' pile of money laying around.

Scot Bendsr's? That is Todd Bender. MHO, for under $2500.00 a used 682 is the only way to go. If you are serious about shooting, save your money and buy whatever gun feels best to you. It might be a Beretta 682 or a majestic Grade K-80. If money would allow me I would buy the majestic grade K-80 on Robert's site!!!! It is beautiful!!! Matt

For the price ($2500 to $3k), its pretty hard to beat a good used 682. Parts still available and plentiful, aren't overly complex, easily rebuild-able, and reliable. the berettas are pretty modular too, so you could have one receiver, a few different barrels, and be setup for all games if you so desire

A couple of years ago I bought a Winchester field grade 101.
It was an almost new 30 inch full and full former duck gun I got off the internet for 700 bucks. It comes with a very simple and reliable mechanical trigger. I sent the barrel off to Briley for thinwall external chokes, long cones and a tube set. I sent the stock off to Graco for an adjustable butt setup, the adjustable comb and a magnum Kickeeze. I now have a gun that can play any game. The complete freight was 2500 bucks including a strong Americase tube case. The gun has 70,000 rounds thru it - no hiccups. I replaced all the springs and pins myself this winter. Total on that: 85 bucks.

I have shot the 10 grand setups. I do not shoot them one bit better than the setup I have.

If I had it to do over, I'd do it again.

Keep an eye on his pre-owned guns. Terry
