Has anyone ever seen one ? Seems like an interesting tactical option if you have a 20" ribbed smoothbore.

I wonder if enough people would like to see one hit the market..matte finish/parkerized ? It should be only a stamping change.

What would be the advantage of having a rib if it is under a heatshield? BTW, ribs are pretty easy to remove.

Marketing. Simply marketing a product just like any other.Super slugs,"pet rock's" etc. for all those tactical wanna-beees as opposed to those who know better.

There are more of them out there than you can imagine. And yes, your comment is logical and correct.

Just for the record, I am so old school that I still like my 590 A1 even though the approach is dated for many.

Isn't the purpose of a vent rib and a heat shield similar?
