No, no value. Send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you. Seriously now. I have two listings for the name Theate, one is Theate Freres (Brothers) a Belgian gun maker from 1907 to 1950. I think this is the one you are looking for, The other is T. Theate & Co, a Belgian gun maker from 1894 to 1907. They could be the same company, just a name change. . Judging from your description of the gun, it was made some time between 1880 and 1914 when World War One cut off exports from Belgium. Like all Belgian made guns of the period, it will have damascus barrels and a short chamber. Most of us don't consider these old guns to be safe to shoot using modern ammunition. Value? Value will depend on the guns condition. It can range from a high of about $200 fo one that appears to have come out of the factory yesterday afternoon to less than $10 for a rusty rotten incomplete piece of junk.

Theate like many Belgian makers, was a family business. Toussaint Theate started in Lieage in 1894. When he left the business, his sons took over as Theate Feres , Ernest and Adolphe 1907-1950. Eventually the company name was purchased by Raick Feres in 1950. It survived until 1965.

You can find the Belgian proof marks and date codes here:

With out pictures it is impossible to judge the value of a gun. Especially as Theate Feres produced guns for such a long time. They offered standard field grades to some very nice guns.
