Who out there is in the southern Oregon area? I'm in Gold hill and shoot trap/skeet at Medford Gun Club and everything else at the range in Central Point. Just a little plug for the MGC, dues are $25/year family which brings the per round price from $4.50 to $3.50 and members also get to buy a shoot card for $35 and is good for 11 rounds of trap or skeet. They also have a patterning board out there and paper to hang on it!

Hey, Mr Mac,
I'm a newbie to the whole shotgun shebang. I live in Eugene. I'm looking at it as a combo of tactical/hd and hunting.
I picked up a near new 870 Express at a garage sale...Bought some tac up grades for it, but have retained the original barrel and kept the replacxed parts in the closet...
I've been looking at a slug barrel, but I haven't been able to get much in the way of feed-back on which ones are best and why. So, if you have any info on the slug barrel topic, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
PS the Thomas Jefferson quote is as valid now as then...

See? I knew I wasn't alone!

As for slug barrels, I like the fully rifled versions over smooth bore for the accuracy though modern rifled slugs are far better than just 10 years ago! Still, knowing that slug pattern will be more consistent with the rifled barrel is enough to sell me!

Mac

Hey Mr Mac, I have been shooting at MGC again since about February, and I lived in Gold Hill for 30+ years, I probably know you. I should shoot a round or two of skeet tomorrow. {hs#

Hello all, I'm in White city and shoot out at the Range at the sports park

I have a shotgun for HD but looking into a longer barrel for skeet/Trap/Hunting purposes

I haven't shot Skeet or trap before but looks like a good challenge

I also have a .22 plinker that I bought for the kids but seem to use it more than them

Hey,

I'm a Southern Oregon boy that used to shoot trap at a lot of these facilities. I've been in the Army for the past 17+ years so I haven't shot down there lately. I was hitting it pretty hard before my recent travels and plan to do so again when i get home. I am gonna try to get my Dad out for a couple rounds every now and then. Maybe I will see some of you on the Range.

Klamath Falls for me. Target shoot at Spotsman Park, shoot clay pigeons at an abandoned quarry. Everytime we go to the quarry we pick up another bag of trash that must be too heavy for most people to pick up.
