You won't match the xtra grain with an oiled finish. Xtra grain is a fake finish using a film over very average wood. I would check with Coles or Joel Etchen and see if they have any knock off stocks and forearms from guns that had custom stocks installed. Also periodically check the gunbroker sight for stocks and forearms. $300.00/350.00 for a brand new knock off stock and forearm. Some people sell the old stock to defray costs of the new one.

The forearm on your gun will also be the xtra grain junk as well. You'll have to replace both to get decent match.

Just remember that the field stock is different from the sporting stock. You didn't state which model 391 you have. I would keep an eye out on the web, gunbroker etc.

Mike Battista at Silver Dollars Firearms in Odessa, Florida sells brand new 391 stocks in Sporting and Parallel configuration. His price is $ 172 including shipping. I am using one I bought from him and the wood is very nice. Coles Gunsmithing sells brand new forearms for $ 110. including shipping, which matches the stock I got, so a brand new real wood set with very nice wood cost me $ 282.
Used wood sets come up for sale at various time for $200 to $250.

Those prices are very high. Call Coles/Joel Etchen and see what the have in stock. You could probably get a better deal direct from Beretta than the internet company you mention. Pretty sure that place in your link drop ships from Beretta anyway as it is an internet based business only.
