Has anyone ever seen one of the Winchester Model 59 shotguns in the experimental 14 gauge from the 1960's, outside of a museum? According to what I have found in research only 28 were made and used pretty much exclusively at Nilo Farms and by Winchester employees. Some of the ammunition has made it off the reservation so perhaps some of the guns have too.

Just so you won't think I've been sniffing to much burnt powder  here's a scan from one of my references.

I seen one at a gun show in Denver Colorado about 5-6 years ago at the Merchandise Mart Tanner gunshow, it was NIB and they wanted $5500 for it! Regards A2764

There was one on Gunbroker, ummmmmm, can't say for sure but it's been in the last year. Price was somewhere around $5K and it didn't sell. I don't watch it that much, it sure could have come back on and sold at a different time and I missed it.

I'd like to at least just hold one, but I can't see it being alot lighter than a 12. Maybe 4-5 oz's?

Anymore, it takes the ole memory awhile to start kickin in.

You might try a search, if you get lucky in plugging the right things in I'd bet it will come up, I can't say how long ago but I don't think 2 years, a member put up a link to Cabelas and if I'm not mistaken, they had two of them. I could be confusing these with something else but I don't think so.

EDIT: I forgot we lost all the old data after that last major update, so much for that idea.

I have a full box of Winchester Ranger 14 gauge aluminum shotgun shells. These were given to me by my neighbor, Arthur Yeomans, who worked for Winchester for many years.

I know the gun, model 59, is pretty rare. The shells are pretty rare too. Does anyone know of other similar ammo for sale or an estimate of value?

Thanks

Wow, there's a name I haven't heard in a few years. I remember Art. I was in his bait/ gun/ miscellanious shop a number of times. He did have some unusual Winchester stuff. That Shelby Mustang they had was pretty cool too!
