i have an ithaca model 37 with the serial number 9711X Can anyone tell me what it is worth and anything else about it?

It is pump-action, bottom loader, 12 ga. with I carved in the butt plate.

The value is going to depend a lot on the condition. It was made in 1946. $200 for a gun in condition that needs restoration. $400 for a gun that has an original finish in great condition. Polychoke tends to lower the value a little. Solid rib tends to raise the value a little. Those numbers can vary quite a bit depending on opinion and where you're shopping.

It in pretty good condition, i still take it hunting with me all the time. Just have always cleaned it and taken good care of it. It probably needs to be re-blued but there isnt any rust just a few black spots. The action still works amazingly and the pump glides better than many new shotguns on the market.
