i think i know the right answer to this ,but i read or heard this and wanted to make sure.

you measure the LOP from the trigger face to the end of the butt.this is the one i'm pretty sure is correct.

someone said you measure from the front of the trigger guard.

going to have a new and thicker pad added soon and just wanted to verify before i go to get the pad installed.

LOP is measured from the front center of the trigger curvature to the vertical center of the butt.

When you are having the pad installed, first check to make sure the pitch on your stock is correct for you.

The gun should be mounted with the top of the pad extending about an inch above your collarbone. When you are mounting the gun, the whole pad, "top to bottom" should make simultaneous contact with your shoulder pocket when you are in your normal shooting posture.

If the bottom "toe" of the pad makes contact much before the upper "heel," you should consider having the pitch changed/corrected the new pad is installed.
