I read an article today about a new for 2010 version of the Mossberg 500/535/835 pump guns that have an LPA (lightening pump action) trigger.
According to the article, the LPA trigger is factory adjusted to 2 3/4 pounds w/minimal creep and is based on the lightening bolt action trigger used on their rifles.
It's available on their turkey and deer combos and the trophy slugster line of 12 gauge pump guns.
According to the article I read, the gentleman shooting the new model 500 12 gauge (and using Winchester dual bond slugs) shot 5 3-shot groups @ 100 yards w/the best averaging around an inch and the worst around 2 1/4 inches w/an average grouping of 1 1/2 inches.
Would I choose it over a bolt gun for accuracy potential? No, but for many people who like a pump gun for fast follow up shots in the whitetail woods or turkey hunters who want a crisper, lighter trigger pull, I'd say this is a product that might be worth looking @.
Regardless, I just thought I'd relay the info to those who might be interested.
