I purchased a Charles Daly field hunter Youth 20 Gauge for my son on his birthday…..the gun had problems from the get go….The last issue we had was the part of barrel that slides over the guns receiver and O ring became disattached from the barrel, thus allowing the gas to escape when fired, rendering the gun a single shot. All this occurred in December.
I called CD and they told me it would be the end of January before they could even schedule for the gun to be shipped in and they didn’t have a time frame on getting it fixed…..with it being the middle of duck season and my son's Christmas break upon us, I choose to take a gamble and have a gun smith try to repair it……the gamble failed and the barrel was lost (I gambled, I lost…this part was my fault).
Anyway, I have been trying to order a barrel, and can’t get anywhere with CD. Each time I call, they push back the date that they expect to receive new barrels.....and they say I must order the barrel through them....Is this true? Is there no other options for ordering a barrel? Are there any other barrels that will interchange? It seems others are having the same type problems with their customer service according to the CD Forum. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate some feedback.
