My wife was handed down a Winchester 37A break-action chambered in 410 from her grandfather before he died. It is a beautiful gun in decent condition (but it was stored in a closet unprotected so it has a few scraps in stock), shoots well. We don't know how old it is.

Anyone know what it might be worth?
Not looking to sell it, just wanting to know.

Thanks!

The model 37 was manuf. between 1936-63. Over 1,015,000 made. Not serial-numbered. Value in 100% cond. is $575, 98%-$425.00, 90% 375.00. All barrels were full choke.

Thank you for the information. I didn't realize this gun was that old.

I think that DWT has the Model 37 and the Model 37A confused. The M37A was made from 1973 to 1980 in the Cobourg plant in Ontario. It was an import. There were two versions in .410. The standard Field and the Youth Shotgun. The Youth version had a 26" barrel and a 12 1/2" LOP verse the 14" LOP of the regular gun.

The M37 was made from 1936 until 1963, as DWT mentioned. Neither version was serial numbered.

A minty .410 M37A will bring in the $200 range in my area. While a minty M37 "Red Letter" .410 will bring in the $500-$650 range.

Bye the way, a NIB 28ga M37 just sold for close to $3000, go figure?
