I would like to find a rifled barrel, with rifle sights, for both my 2-3/4" A-5 and for my 870. Both are in 12 gauge. I am new to this game, and I was reading the Hastings website with a lot of interest, until I realized that they are no longer in business. I am open to any suggestions that anyone may have.

My buddy has a 24" Hastings cantilever on his 870. He beats the living crap out of most of his stuff; he's a real life testing machine. If it holds up under his "use", it's good stuff.

He shoots full bore attached wad slugs from his gun and has a boatload of deer to his credit.

Mossberg makes, and Midway sells, a barrel with rifle sights for the Remington 870.

Personally, I'd rather have the cantilever one and put on a scope ... but they have both options.

Thanks for your feedback - I have found a barrel for the 870, but I am still on the look-out for a rifled barrel with rifle sights for a Browning A-5. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hastings barrels were always made by Verney-Carron in France. The Hastings business in Clay City KS is gone but Verney-Carron owns the Hastings name and is in the process of re-introducing slug barrels.
I have 12ga 870 barrels with Browning A5 barrels in stock

Wait, you have A5 rifled slug barrels for sale? Am I understanding correctly?

If so, what are the specs and prices?

Wow, that looks and sounds great. What I'd really love to have is a rifled slug barrel with scope mount for an A5 Sweet Sixteen. Any chance you will ever have such a thing?

Sorry but neither will happen. Not enough demand for the 16ga and the way the barrel recoils prevents a scope mount.

Of course, pretty obvious about the scope mount now that you mention it.

If you have an A5 Light 12, I highly recommend a Hastings barrel and a saddle mount if you are going to turn it into a dedicated slug gun. I was skeptical about doing this but my A5 drives tacks with this setup. I'll try to get a pic to work below:

I have a BPS Invector Plus with a 3.5" chamber and was wondering if there is a rifled slug barrel that will fit this gun. I don't want to buy one from Browning because of the cost. If anyone can let me know that would be great.

Sorry, the new Hastings barrel business has no plans at this time to introduce a BPS slug barrel.

DavidFarace,
I had the chance to pick up an A5 slug gun set up similar to yours at a helluva deal but everyone said it wouldnt shoot accurately due to the barrel recoiling action. I sure did want that A5 but didnt get it. What kinda groups are you getting? Anybody else out there have this set up?

I have a Hastings Paradox with a 1.5-5X WA 20, that fits a B80, or Berettas of the 300 series, down in the "Other" classifieds, if anyone is interested.
