First off, let me introduce myself since I'm new. My name is Tim Thompson from Haslet, TX. I frequent quite a few handgun and AR forums but this is my first shotgun forum. I have searched this site and many others and cannot seem to find the value of my certain Churchill. It is a Churchill by Kassnar Regent VII 12 ga. 2 3/4 chamber o/u. I got this gun around 1989 and it is still in mint condition. At the time I was young and taken advantage of by being told it was an expensive gun and traded an Ithica single shot trap gun and a Winchester pump for it. In my reading I have learned that got ripped off bigtime by looking at values of other Churchill models. If anyone could give me an idea of this model's value, I would greatly appreciate it.

:) Hi Tim and welcome to the Forum!! Sorry to hear about your experience, but yep you got took.

The O/U you have is a Churchill in name only. It has no connection what so ever to the English Maker. Just a marketing ploy. I would bet that it's a Spanish gun, more than likely made by Felix Sarasqueta, but it could be another maker. You can tell by finding a makers mark on the inside of the action. Here is a list of makers marks:

Hard to tell on a value without seeing the condition of the gun, but I guess would be if in excellent shape, about the $500 mark. Pics would be nice if possible.

These are not bad guns, just good work a day ones.

Sorry gain about how you got her.

Again, welcome to the fourm!

All the best!

Greg

The Kassnar Churchill Regent O/Us came from Italy; FAIR, I beleve was the maker or maybe Sabatti.

The Kassnar Regent VII O/U was offered in 12 and 20 gauge. The MSRP in 1984 was US$1,200.-. Recent values for Kassnar O/U's (not necessarily Regent VII models) have been in the $250.- to $400.- range depending on condition. IIRC, these were built in Italy. Clear, close-up photos of any markings on the frame and barrels may disclose a maker's mark. As always, check the on-line auctions for real life prices PAID.

Sorry to hear that you got burned.

Too bad... - I thought everyone had been warned about that "Name and real Brand fiasco". They should have been prosecuted for false advertising.
