Hey guys, I just ordered a new 12 gauge CD tactical 18.5 bbl off Gunbroker.

I talked to a few gun shops and they said the CD is like a rem 870 clone so most 870 accessories would fit but I wanted some third party suggestions/comments.

Any input is appreciated, Thanks.

It's similar to the 870 in terms of controls, but in terms of parts fitment, it's not real similar. What are you looking for? CD made quite a few accessories for their guns. When CD shut down, they sold off their parts to Numrich. You might find what you need there.

We got another batch of 6rd shellholders in process right now. We ordered in the holders from TacStar and produced the plates and hardware specifically for the Charles Daly. We're working on a 4rd version for the CD Autos and the Legacy Escort as well. We also produce our KA-1212 and KA-1212BR in .830" ID which fits the CD with a little fitting. Here's a pic of one of our demo guns which is a CD, we did this one just for the hell of it.

I would love to know if my clamps will fit CD shotguns. Anyone know? I know the MT clamp will fit the mag extension but not sure about the BMT or MOD-C.

Numrich was the first place I looked only found barrels, forends , stocks and parts. Im looking for a ghost ring sight , mag ext. and sidesddle for it.

Also possibly a picatinny rail w/ a light.

Send one out and we'll test fit it on our demo gun. If they fit we'd stock a few, going to try to start listing more CD accessories on the site since there isn't much aftermarket stuff available in general. I think the center-to-center distance on the CD is a little more than it is on the Rem870, but I haven't mic'ed it yet. I'll take a look when I get back to work on Tuesday

Nice looking CD right there. I'm not really a fan of fire suppresors but still goes good with the overall look. Also what kind of front bead sight is that? a Truglo?

Joey, what kind of mag extension is that?

For a side saddle, you can either get one of king armory's side saddle plates that holds a tacstar saddle, or you can go with a velcro on saddle like this one:
http://www.skdtac.com/Esstac_Shotgun_Card_p/ess.106.htm
If you have a sporting forend that sticks back over the receiver when it's all the way back, you will be limited to a 4 round saddle unless you mod the forend.

For sights, there are a number of companies that make quality shotgun ghost rings. For the most part, they will require a gun smith to install. Check out XS sights, LPA, and Trijicon.

For a light, you would be best off to keep in contact with Candewman to see if one of his clamps would fit. Another possibility would be a Streamlight mount that clamps under the mag cap or extension. I would guess that either the model for the 870 or the 590 would fit. Finally, you could drill and bolt a piece of rail to your forend to attach a light to.

Thanks a bunch TempestV! I will start on modding as soon as I find all my parts.

I'm not a fan of forend light mounts, so I'll pm CDM or checkout streamlight mounts.

Also, for the actual light I was looking onto the Surefire G2X tac light. Does anyone have any experience with that light? Input much appreciated.

Hey guys I just got done with my cd field tac. I got a pistol grip butt stock from numrich and put an ati side saddle on it. I put a ncstar light mount on the mag tube and a heat shield. I do know that benelli mag extentions fit cd shotguns. I would post pics but I can't figure it out.

Did you d-rockilla use a benelli mag ext. on your CD? If so which one?

Also, hows the pg butt stock feel, erg ? recoil ?

Calm down 12Gauge- you were asking about a CD pump gun, and he talked about his CD pump gun. Usually we consider it a good thing to avoid starting a new thread when you don't have to. Besides, he gave you some good info for your own project, you should be thanking him, not belittling him.

True enough. I'll let it slide this time.

Tempest, that mag extension was a custom one from MAX100 here. I have heard that Benelli extensions fit them, but I haven't tried yet.

MAX100 has been MIA, let me know if you get a hold of him because I need to get some extensions in for inventory.

Actually yeah I kept browsing and seen some claims that he's been taking peoples money and not shipping the product so I don't wanna put my money on the line like that so ex-nay on the max-ay. haha.

Gun Connection (Max100's company) has been swamped with work. If you email him, he will get back to you eventually, but it might take a month. People are complaining because they ordered an extension and then didn't get it in what they consider to be a reasonable time frame, forgetting that the work he does is rather custom, and can take a long time to do, particularly when there is a list of people ahead of them.
Personally, if there is an off the shelf component that will work, I'd tend to go for that, rather than custom work that might be a long way out.

I completely understand his situation... one man band with tons of orders to fill and growing, but from what I've seen he gave a ship date of 4 weeks ( Which to my standards is already too long ) and 4 MONTHS later the kid still has yet to receive even the tracking number

If your that busy or behind or whatever reason DON'T give a BS ship date. Be real with your customers; the more straight up you are with them and actually follow through with your word ( Which over the internet is all you have ) they more respect and loyalty you will receive. Instead of claims of fraud (an arrestable offense).

With all that being said, I'm not accusing anyone of anything I'm sure max does good work and tries his best..

Bottom line. Honesty is your best policy.
