I just bought a brand new 930 with a wood stock and the box did not included the spacers and retention plates. I just talked to Mossberg and they said they aren't included with 930's with the wood stock because they only work with synthetic stocks.

Does anyone have stock spacers and retention plates on their 930 with a wood stock?

I am disappointed in Mossberg. This is what their website says.

"And this shotgun feels as good as it fires - each 930™ includes a complete set of specially designed spacers for quick adjustment of the horizontal and vertical angle of the stock, bringing a custom-feel fit to every shooter."

The way that the receiver attaches with the wood stock doesn't allow for much room for adjustments.

It has been done though, if you need a lot of adjustment the hole that the recoil sprong goes down can be opened up slightly and it will allow the shims to fit.

The synthetic stock doesn't need this, since there's a lot more room in the stock.....

Thanks! It doesn't need a lot of adjustment. If I can drop it down a small amount, I think that would be helpful. I'm going to bust some clays with it this weekend, so I should get a better feel for what, if any adjustment is needed.

I talked Mossberg into sending them to me, so I'll see how it looks when they get here.
