A shotgun materialized over father's day. :D

Regretably, I haven't shot so much as a box of shells in over 25 years. The new toy is of the sporting clays persuasion - a discipline that didn't even exist "back then" (I'm feeling old, suddenly).

Anyhow, where's a good instructor in the DFW area? Heavy on patience would be best. Bashing through the layer of rust I've accumulated is going to be ugly. On the brighter side, I can't remember anything, so hopefully there won't be any bad habits to unlearn.

Thanks.

Check out the DFW July 13th post. Try to make it, as there will be a great shooting coach there. Mine as well make your first time out (in a long time) one with a notable coach. You'll also meet some good guys that will encourage you to shoot often...the most important thing you can do once you get good instruction.

LAter,

Ian

Two people come to mind:

At Elm Fork, Jeannie Almond

At at Elm Fork is the business card for Gaylan O. Capps.

Have had lessons from Both. Most recently Jeannie,
Mr. Capps was back in 1995.

Both helped.

I would reccomend you get Gaylan's phone number and check out the costs for both of the above people.

Jeannie Almond is a great coach.

Also, please come out on the 17th to Backwoods Trap Club as Roger Gascoigne will be there for a ShotgunWorld Instructional Seminar. We'd love to have you out and you'll meet quite a few of the guys from out here.

Here's a bit about Roger:

Thanks for the help - I'll check out the suggestions.

Unfortunately, I'll be out of town on the 17th. :(
