What kind of spread do you get with 00 Buck out of 18 inch barrel? I'm considering setting up an EOTech (which has a 65 moa circle).

Depends on the choke.

And the brand/type of buckshot you're putting through it.

And the distance you're shooting.

Personally, electronic sights are pointless on a shotgun unless you need to make distance shots with slugs. And even then, I'd want a rifled barrel with sabot slugs. Foster slugs down a smoothbore can be accurate, but not to distances requiring a special sight.

Simple brass bead sights are effective. If they weren't, so many shotguns wouldn't come with them.

The answer comes out of the barrel of your gun! Go try it, no 2 guns and ammos will pattern exactly the same.
I tried federal h132 00 the other day at 10 meters. A couple shots was all I needed to know--it patterns about 5 inches at 10 meters out of my Moss 500 18.5 inch. tommorow I'm going to pattern some long shots (for my perceived need on my properties) at 25 M just to see what it will do just in case.

Like the quorum says, it depends. If your engagement distance is 10 yards or so, any dependable, quality buckshot will very likely do just fine. Make sure it goes bang every time in your gun. And $10 for ammo for a range session to pattern that combo is a pretty good investment. Past 20 yards and now you are talking more specific ammo selection and maybe a more precise sighting arrangement to better apply it.
