If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.
I've been looking for a Model 12 to shoot and add to my collection. I've noticed a couple of older model 12's that don't include the shell size on the barrel. In trying to research the model, I've read that the earlier models were chambered for 2 9/16 for the 16's, 2 5/8 for the 12 and 2 1/2 for the 20 gauge.
If the barrel dosen't read 2 3/4, should one assume that the above applies? Does anyone know when the mfg. dates of the 1912 were chambered exclusively for the 2 3/4 shot shell?
