The XS Special would be a great gun for Skeet and Sporting Clays. It would be good for Trap if you raise the comb a bit more than you would for Skeet or Sporting Clays.
As a field gun? Well, it does weigh a lot and it is a very handsome gun. I wouldn't want to drag it through the bushes. Chasing quail could get old fast with it.

I shoot sporting clays and trap with my XS Special... and I plan on dragging it Pheasant hunting with me this fall.
I'm a female and I feel no fatigue after 100 rounds of a walk through sporting clays course and shooting trap the same day.
