I have an old Remington Model 11, that need the ejector replaced. I worked on several but never the ejector. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, I did an ejector on my model 11 when I bought one about a year and a half ago.

Assure the gun is unloaded and take the barrel off.

Start by ensuring the hole the ejector mounts in is clear (on mine I had to punch out the remainder of the old ejector).

Set the ejector in to the hole (it should be a loose fit) with the "hook" towards the rear.

With a friend/family holding the barrel, put the barrel extension/ejector setup on a punch in a bench vice or an anvil exc. (something to support the ejector, making sure you are only pushing on the flat of the ejector, not the hook/protrusion) with the face of the ejector down and smack the hell out of the pin that is sticking through, some/most gunsmiths, Pro and WCSOGS, recommend heating the pin that sticks through with a torch until it is dull red, if you have one, do it (it will be hot, don't burn your self or your helper holding the barrel, let the barrel air cool when done.) I did my without a torch and have a few thousand rounds through it with no ill effects/failure.

And you are done. Mine ended up a hair loose (it moves in and one a few hundreds of an inch), it isn't going to fall out but I probably should torch it and get it in solidly.

If you need any more help feel free to ask more questions on here.
