H & D Folsom Arms Co. of New York City, made hundreds of thousands of low priced single and double barrel shotguns at the factory they controlled in Norwich, Conn. They made guns that they marketted under the American Gun Co., New York;
and Crescent Fire Arms Co. names and also sold to others who didn't request their own names on the guns.
These same guns were also sold to others who requested their own "trade brands" stamped on the guns. H & D Folsom Arms Co. also bought out the "gun" portion of the Baker Gun & Forging Co. of Batavia, NY, and continued to make/assemble their Baker and Batavia guns.
In addition to all these cheap to medium grade guns they made in the U.S., H & D Folsom Arms Co. imported thousands of cheap doubles from Belgium that were marketted under myriad names.
