That's cool as hell. :D

What's the skinny on the piece of pic rail on the forearm?

Pistolero,
Weatherby's Online site advertises the shotgun in "Black" and "Digital Camo Pattern".
They made a few in the TWN Industries Reaper Black 3D pattern on the stock and forend components. Very hard to find!

Reverend Db,
PA 459 was originally designed with a Picatinny rail, but, was removed due to the recent ATFE ruling. I decided to attach a rail to the forend myself using the following: "Magpul MOE Rail L5 Polymer Rail Section and DrillSpot 10-24xM8-1.25 Carbon Steel Knife - Thread Insert for Metal".

Than you for looking!!

Stay safe,
Roughrider

Hey love the gun. I just picked up the same exact thing its great.

I just have a question about the magazine extension. I want to do the same to my PA-459. Did installing the mag extension require any special tools? If so, what kinds? If you could PM me with a quick explanation of the installation process, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I'm somewhat new to modifying shotguns, so any tips you have would help immensely.

Thanks!

Sorry folks,
Not been on the forum for awhile.
HaZeXXX,
No special tools. Very straight forward change.
teddysc300,
Congratulations!! The clamp just adds a lttle more stability. The O-Ring is for the small I had at the end of the mag extension where it meets with factory magazine tube.

I hope this helps.

To bad that the arms manufacturers do not make information available to the consumer. They are in the in! They know what thread patterns are being used, inner/outer dimension of tubes, etc...

Good luck!!

The #18 o ring is always a good idea on any gun at the magizne cap. Great looking gun. Enjoy.

I've installed both, and reccommend the Choate mag extension over the Tacstar for this mod. The springs need to be cut to fit, but are much stronger and better quality. Also comes with the barrel clamp/swing swivel. The Choate kit also comes with a nice plastic follower, but the Nova follower won't work in the Weatherby.

Still, a better kit for the same price.

I just bought this same shotgun and I cannot remove the magazine spring retainer. I have read the manual four times and it does not tell you how to do it. Does it just pry off? There is a small rubber nub on the clip. Does this have anything to do with it?

shooter/firefight,
Sorry, have not been on the site for a long time now.
It has been a awhile since I did this project. but I assure you it was easy.
I believe the manual gave all the information you would need?

Have a added two more pieces:
UTG Deluxe See-Thru Riser and UAG Tactical Weaver Shot shell Carrier Holder.

Photo's can be viewed @ this site: "Photos", "Gallery", "Shotguns", "Other".

Roughrider thank you for the information you posted for the mag extension. It worked like a charm. I purchased the barrel clamp through amazon (Tac Star Barrel/Magazine Clamp part #1081172) and the Magazine extension through Cactus Tactical (Tac Star Magazine Extension/7 shot - part #1081188). I have the Weatherby PA-459 reaper. {hs#
