The story starts, "I would have bought a Mossberg 500, but the store had this Turkish-built piece of crap that was 50 cents cheaper, so I bought that instead."

It ends like the post above.

It's an old story.

Really?

I had no problem getting a Biakal part from the old EAA, call USSG again and e-mail them too.

I'm considering another Baikal, please keep us posted.

I assume your gun's still under warranty. Why not give USSG a chance to make things right for you before you slam them on SGW?

One of the fellows I shoot with bought a brand-new 20 ga. Browning XS skeet. Within the first 3 months of ownership, he had to send it back twice to Browning for warranty repairs. Last week they sent him a new replacement gun.

Stuff can happen to any gun no matter how much or little it costs. It's how the company responds to your problem that's important.

Good luck!

Welcome to Shotgunworld anyway. I'm sorry it took a bad situation to get you to join and make your first post, but I'm sure we can figure out a way to help. Maybe there's a member here that has the part or knows how to get it.

jimbob59,
Welcome to the friendliest gun forum on the web, where four out of seven responses are friendly and/or helpful.

It don't matter a bit Jimbob!

Some people talk because they have something to say, fools talk because they have to say something. :P

If I understand correctly the dealer made things right?

A FFL wouldn't do that unless USSG backs them up. :)

How did your post help the situation, besides come off as an a$$?

Jimbob, excuse the trash and welcome to sgw, it really is overall friendly.

Did the folks at ussg make it right?

Well, in his last post he used some Caps so I think it helped plenty. I don't see you bashing on BarryD's post - why??

Thanks Jimbob for the update.

Because I saw your post first and thought to myself, here's a real good way for a new member to be run off of the site who might have something to add to future conversations...so I called you out on it. It still wasn't helpful.

As for BarryD, he can be extremely acerbic, but he posts some extremely useful things. You might think about that.

Jimbob, good on you for getting your gun a different route.
