Way to staged and fake to me.

Been watching Duck Commanders for a couple years. Tired of their shtick by the time Dynasty came around.

I've watched it a couple of times, won't go out of my way to look for it. It's too scripted with "drama" created for the camera. I like the calls and used to enjoy the tv/dvd's but even those are off the list for me. They have had a good run and will likely keep on for some time just not with my $.

I've recently started watching it. I think it's pretty funny, some of their shenanigans remind me of my family.

I watch it and like it.

Shooting shotguns, killing game, butchering it and cooking it on TV- good stuff.
Yes, some if it is scripted and dramatized for TV, but they are married to the spouses shown, they do work together, so its not a stretch to image their lives.

And if you talk to people that know them, its pretty accurate.

Way, way too fake. The fake detonator / plunger to blow up the beaver dam, a wooden box with some 1/2" black pipe with a tee for the handle, along with "not knowing" the man lift had a manual over ride or that they couldn't lower it without battery power, just tells me they think we're all stupid. Was very disappointing.

Phil Robertson may be a bit different than most realize. He is no redneck dummy and he and his family are capitalizing on their persona.
The show is entertainment that is putting more money in their pockets. Those city folk can't get enough of those crazed rednecks.

I've watched it a couple of times. I like it pretty good. Definitely like the fact that they eat squirrel. Yeah some of their stuff is staged, but there ain't much on TV that isn't these days. Might as well watch some folks I can relate to than some goofy Italian drunk kids that pump their fists all the time.

Seems like all of the reality shows have become more scripted. Deadliest Catch, Swamp People, OCC and the rest. Hollywood has turned them all into soap operas. The shows were much better when they just depicted the lifestyles accurately. Oh well. I still like some of them.

I like it, think it's great entertainment, but prefer the Duck Commander.

I wonder why Duck Dynasty is centered around Willie when Phil is the patriarch of the family and possesses the most mojo?

I think the show is funny and can relate to some of the family antics. Sometimes over the top, Yes. They are not a bunch of uneducated backward folks.

I think it's hysterical.

I know it's staged and don't care.

I hope they are laughing all the way to the bank. Whoever said Phil Robertson is no redneck dummy is probably correct. I'm betting same about Willie. There are a LOT of rednecks I know who would prefer you think they really are dumb hicks, for various reasons.
