I've had this gun for quite a while... only put about 2 dozen shells thru it the whole time. Bought it soley because I liked the way it looked. :) Now considering letting it go so someone that CAN use it will.
From looking up the serial numbers its a 76 model, set for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells, 26" barrels with Mod and Imp cyl fixed chokes.
I'm assuming with the 26" barrels it was probably setup as a field gun?
It's in simply beautiful shape. Like new really... only wear mark is where the O/U/safe switch slides. No scratches anywhere, though a couple light dings in the stock that can be seen if you hold it to the light just right. No pitting, super tight.
ser. #11024RTJ53

Just figured I ask value here. I searched around but most I saw listed were old listings from a number of years ago. Any help appreciated!!

You should surf ONLY sold/closed gun auctions, since unsold/unbid/openingbid auction "prices are NOT values, for another like gun, to see how much someone has recently been actually willing to pay.

My estimate for a short-barreled, fixed choke, GR1 Citori would be $750 Max if it's a 12ga (you didn't say), maybe a little more if a 20ga, much more if a .410 bore.

Yea.. 12 gauge. Thanks.
I've seen prices from $650--1200. My guesstimate was around $800-900 from what I had seen from older sales of them. Hardest part has been finding sales of a shorter barrelled gun like this one.

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples... there are no parts or service for these, and the values are severely depressed. The short barrels take even more off the value.

IMO, you're looking at a $400-$600 TOPS gun.

Same gun as mine... sounds to be same condition, only difference is the case. Not sure how much that adds to the value, but it sold for $970.

Put it up for auction and see what you get.

I got a 1975 Pre Type I at a gun show a couple years ago for $550. It has 28" barrels, and is choked IC/Mo, probably 98% condition. It was a good enough price that I bought it, just to add to the collection. It depends on how long you are willing to wait for the right buyer to come along, or if you want to move it. The only right price is the one agreed to between the buyer and the seller. Mark

Agreed. I'm in this one $600 from a while back. If I got $600 back out of it, that'de be fine with me. Obviously more is always good. :)
Trying to trade it right now... more people willing to trade than buy. Hoping to find a sweet steel challenge 22.
