I just had to order Cheddite primers because I have no data for these hulls using anything else, The shipping is a killer! Is there any data out there using other primers?
My present load is 20 gr Blue Dot with a BPI SG28 II wad pushing 3/4 oz of shot. It goes out at about 1250 fps and hits hard.

Hodgdon has Chedite data on it's wed site, they include data for the Fio. 616 primer but its for their brand of powders. One of the problems you are running into is that the Fiocchi & Chedite primers are of a slightly larger size than the US Std. 209 (.244") and if you try to seat a US primer they are a bit loose in the pocket. That is why you are seeing data with the Chedite and Fio. 616 primers given for the Chedite Hulls.
Give the Win. AAHS hull a try. With Hodgdon's Longshot Powder you can easily duplicate or beat 1250 fps mark, but you may find that velocity isn't everything.

Good advice. I just ordered 5,000 Cheddite primers from BPI before I saw this post. I can get Fiochi primers locally, so I'll check this out later.
Thanks for the help.

I have no problem getting Cheddite primers and I also have no problem using WW209s in Cheddite hulls. Some Cheddite hulls that were factory primed indeed do have a tad bigger primer pocket now. The new Cheddite and Fiocchi primers aren't any bigger than the domestic primers now either. There are a few tricks that you can use to get 209s to fit better IF you do have the hulls with a now too big of primer pocket. Last several thousand Cheddite and Fiocchi primers I got measure the same as AAs and STS. Actually the STS primer was the largest my a very slight bit.

I use a resizer. I deprime first then resize. Works well for me. I like the ched hulls, but use them mainly for larger capacity loads ie. 7/8 and 3/4 bismuth. I just can't get a good fit with the 3/4oz load in the ched hull. SGII in my opinion is better than the HV28.
