What would a used standard sporting with 32" barrels and no adjustable comb a few years old in 99 percent condition fetch in the real world? Can't find much out there to get a good idea of what is a fair price.

That is retail asking price for a specific gun with specific barrels and specific wood at a dealers
note those words individually
What is the serial number? pictures?
I think for a normal one make in the last 12 years you are at the very high end at $6500 unless you are purcashing from a dealer
Anything less than 97 percent or older than 12 or very plain wood- start subtracting
If the barrel isnt really the right one- same deal
now the newer factory special sporting- with the high ribs- 6500 or slightly higher

I know 2 K-80s around me (32 inch sporting 2 years old adjustable stock) that sold very recently for $8500 and $9200. One was standard, one vintage scroll. Both were excellent.
Someone forward a link of where to buy newer high rib 32 inch sporters for $6500. I will buy 3

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to hear about some local deals outside the internet. This is my long awaited jump up to Krieghoff, and it is a big investment for me. I got pricing from a few dealers on new in this configuration but with the adjustable comb @ 9700+/- a couple bucks. So I started looking for a used one. I procrastinated on one for 7000 then it sold the same day I made the decision to make an offer on it(it was at a dealer). This is a tough market to be in where im located, they just dont come up for sale here used. The one I am considering now is also at a dealer and apparently he is quite firm on the price. It is right in the middle of seras range. I just am looking to get the most for my money, and feel confident I payed a fair price. Its going to be a long time before I have another 7 grand to spend on a shotgun!

If you can find a 99% 32" K-80 with a 10X6 rib and ti chokes for 7K buy it. Gene will tell you where you can find a Pro sporter that is 97% for $6500.00 jump on it. If you won't I will.

The "experts" like JAA- Falconer and Georgia skeet always amaze me Now here is a listing where the guy has been trying to sell his new Pro Sporter for several months His "asking price" includes the following extras Titanium trigger ( new cost 400) Titanium barrel hanger ( new cost 270) Mueller chokes ( new cost $700) Gold target top latch ( new cost $1800) Wood upgrade ( this is a signifant upgrade per the photo - lets say $2000) So we have about $5200 of extras/upgrades The guy wants $8500 but hasnt been able to sell it http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =308938436Oh for the experts above here is a 32 inch pro sporter - where he is asking $6900 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =309016887I have observed over time that people with stuff to sell - always say that similar "stuff" is worth 20-50 percent more than it is Regards to the experts and others casually viewing From Iowa Gene

Well....he's asking $8600 and it's not a 32 inch gun. Nobody seems to want a 30 inch gun today. Three used Muller chokes are $700?...anyhow...
Your other link above at $6900 is for a 28 year old gun.
Lets review and stay focused - the original poster is looking for a 2 year old 32 inch standard grade Sporter in 99% condition.
Never claimed to be an expert by any means, but please, show me where I can get that gun for $6500.

Falconer- did you not even read the above post to completion? You mention focus Let me review it for you- the end of the post "Oh for the experts above here is a 32 inch pro sporter - where he is asking $6900 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =309016887 I have observed over time that people with stuff to sell - always say that similar "stuff" is worth 20-50 percent more than it is Regards to the experts and others casually viewing From Iowa Gene" PS- The barrel cant be any older than a couple of years - not 28 year And now you want to start adding other criteria to what the original poster asked so you wont be "as wrong" Yes the receiver is older- so what? Who said any gun and barrel

Well my intentions were only to get an idea of dealer vs real world private party prices. Like I said there is not much available in the used market here, where I'm at it's mostly Perazzi for sale on the clubs bulletin boards. I suppose if we were to use the example vette jockey was kind enough to post as i would consider that a 99% gun-sounds like 6500 is the number to shoot for but ga. Skeets input is if its 7000 grab it. I want to be a little more informed on the values when it comes to possible negotiations with dealers. I am ready to buy cash in hand and if a dealer has what I'm looking for I don't mind paying a couple extra bucks, but I sure don't want to give up a 1000 plus over a guns true value. And yes I understand value is a subjective term. Thanks again for all the input

Serial number of the Receiver does matter as does the barrel type - of course condition is very important
Post some pictures and serial numbers and all the above posters to include me I am certain will comment to whatever their knowledge level is. I can be wrong and so can they = plus stuff changes in value for a number of reasons- one thing has always been true so far- over time- a K80 will go up on value-

Ok, so I posted myself in a corner. I wanted to be sure to not include any dealers names, as this is soley for myself to get an idea of what folks think a realistic value is on these guns. The one with the adj. comb is 060xxx, the other is 070xxx. Both guns reportedly not shot much, 32" bbls and 99 percent condition overall. Again, this is not about the seller, this is to give me an idea of what others would consider paying for them. So you fellows that follow the current used market on Krieghoffs outside of internet auction sites I appreciate your input.

Ok so what I see here looks like fixed ribed guns one ramped rib and one step ribbed(usually considered incorrectly as only a trap ribbed barrel) - Both have the older international skeet stock - one with adjustable comb and one without.
One wood set is very very plain in the scheme of things and the other not much better
Most people now dont want the drop stocked models but some still do
Top gun even with that serial number - non dealer private sale - it has more wear- 6000 Max - Bottom gun maybe between 6500 and 7000 - absolute Max range
Ok those receivers are worth more as alluded to above.

Bill the gun Kurt has listed is the old 12X8 rib and worse yet steel chokes. Krieghoff changed both those for a reason and that is weight. The bottom gun has ti chokes and maybe the step rib as I can't tell. If it does you may have to change the hanger for POI but some great skeet shooters shoot that rib and they shoot 60/40 POI. Does the top one have ti chokes or something else? Good luck on your quest but don't try to get the last nickle on the table as you might miss something.
