I have a Beretta 686 O/U 20 ga. and a 687 Ultra Light Deluxe O/U 12 ga. that I would like to do a deep cleaning on. Anybody know of a manual that shows how to disassemble & reassemble these models?

You can do a very good cleaning by pulling the stock off or do you mean a complete tear down.

If your talking a tear down that's way out of my league :D

No manual I've ever found.

viewtopic.php?f=57&t=278811 explains dropping the trigger group and the cocking rods/plungers/levers.

mudpuppy;
Have never found detailed instructions on this but I have done quite a few of them.
A couple of tips I will pass on are
1. The frame screw under the safety is secured with a white colored Italian locktite-like substance -Heat it prior to removing the screw (pin) the 1st time.
2. The firing pins and hammers springs are easy
3. Their are 2 tiny springs related to inertia mass bbl selector both of which I have had suffer a separating fractures on different guns. A fracture of either of these spri9ng will result in the gun not firing the 2nd Bbl. Be prepared to make a slave pin to assist you in replacing these.
4. About 3 drops of oil-total
5. Fitting a new extractor is quite an adventure compared to most other high quality guns
Anything more than this send it to Doug Braker @ DougsGunshop.com
Hope this helps;
Chuck

Thanks Chuck. That's what I needed to know. I think I will wait a little longer before tackling something that complex.
